NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang popping over to Taiwan, you know, around Computex, is a bit of a big deal. One thing that stands out, and kinda sticks, is that dinner he always seems to have with the local business bigwigs.
So, Jensen shows up this year and it’s more than just another trip. I mean, Computex 2025 wasn’t just another placeholder on the calendar. Nah, it was where NVIDIA decided to spill some beans about their vision. Can’t say too much, but let’s just say folks were all ears. But what’s interesting, or peculiar maybe, was this dinner Jensen had — of course — and Taiwan Economic Daily caught him at this cozy eatery. He’s there hobnobbing with the likes of TSMC, MediaTek, Quanta. There’s even this bit where he’s tossing food and drinks to the media folks. Why does this resonate with me? Maybe it’s quirky, or just classic Jensen.
Then there’s this conversation with CC Wei from TSMC. Jensen mentioned something about lots of work heading TSMC’s way. Sounds like good times if AI supply chains are your thing, which apparently is booming. Middle Eastern companies are in on it too. Oh, and yeah, there’s talk about building these humongous data centers in Taiwan. Pretty wild when you figure how much importance NVIDIA places here.
Meanwhile, Jensen’s playing nice with Chinese partners too, hinting at something new brewing. Seems like he’s the kind of guy who breaks molds of the buttoned-up exec type. Chatting away with the media, handing out souvenirs. More approachable than most, I’d say.
Next time you might spot Jensen? Probably at the Computex keynote — the man’s got presence. Stay tuned, as they say. We’ll be there, trying to keep up with his fast-talking, generous, maybe slightly chaotic presence.
