So, Nintendo—always up to something wacky, right? They just dropped this eight-minute trailer for a game called Drag x Drive. Yup, that’s the title, and they’re saying it like, you know, “Drag and Drive.” This game is about to have its moment in the spotlight during the Global Jam demo event on August 9th and 10th of 2025. Mark your calendar or scribble it on a sticky note. I’ll probably forget, honestly.
Now, here’s the deal with this game. They showed it off during the Nintendo Direct for the Nintendo Switch 2. And guys, this one’s a three-on-three sports thingy. Picture yourself wrestling with both Joy-Con 2 controllers at the same time. Seriously! You’ve got to steer, zoom around, maybe do some dunking? It’s like trying to rub your belly and pat your head—sounds crazy, right? But hey, maybe that’s the charm.
I gave it a whirl (not literally, those Joy-Cons are tricky). Guess what? I kinda liked it—didn’t expect to, but there it is. However, my mind’s a bit stuck on this: can it actually reel players in and keep them? It’s fun but finding and, more importantly, keeping a crew around to race with could be its Achilles’ heel.
Anyway, for all you digital folks, Drag x Drive is hitting the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 14, 2025. Be there or be—uh, somewhere else entirely.
Oh, there’s a trailer for more context. I should’ve mentioned that earlier. It’s bouncing around the internet if you’re curious. Or, you know, if you’re just into watching trailers for fun? No judgment.
