Pope Leo XIV Autographs Pokémon Fan’s Popplio Card

Hey, so imagine this: I’m standing there, heart pounding, and I’m face-to-face with the Pope himself. Yeah, really. It’s one of those moments you never think you’re gonna experience in real life, right? Anyway, I blurt out, “Your Holiness! Just uh, wow, thanks for the speech. Oh, and I’ve got a little something for you!” Out comes this shiny Popplio card – not even sure why I had it, but it’s cute, right? Plus, Popplio sounds like Pope Leo, haha.

And then, surprise! The Pope actually laughs. It’s probably just being polite—I mean, who wouldn’t smile at a random gift like that? But then, no lie, he’s showing it off to the guards. Like, what?

So, I’m feeling kinda bold, maybe running on adrenaline. I dig around in my pocket, and out comes another card and a pen. “Mind signing this for me?” I ask, not even expecting a yes. But then he’s all, “Of course!” and I’m grinning like an idiot.

It’s just one of those bizarre, slightly unreal moments. Makes you wonder how you even got there, right?
