Okay, so picture this. Summer Game Fest kicks off, and imagine a whole bunch of Arc Raiders fans on edge—because hope is a dangerous thing, right? Yeah, they wanted it to happen, and bam, it did. We’re talking about some folks who, after that second Tech Test back in May, just didn’t want to log off. I mean, seriously, it was like trying to get a cat out of a sunbeam.
Anyway, I’ve heard the game was already looking sharp even way back then. Like, some people were basically yelling, “Just release it already!” But, well, no full release today. Instead, they dropped a release date. That’s something, yeah?
And for all those folks who were crossing fingers for another beta, uh, not happening. Not just yet, at least. Loads of people totally missed out on Tech Test 2 and ended up just, I don’t know, watching over someone’s shoulder like a hungry puppy. Didn’t sound fun, right?
So here’s the big news: Arc Raiders is hitting the shelves on October 30, 2025. Mark the calendars, people! It’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. I mean, they’re calling it an updated build. Whatever that means—I guess we’ll see how different it really feels?
And, okay, not saying it needs a ton of work. Arc Raiders already had this amazing character and gameplay thing going on. Honestly, it kind of takes me back to the old PUBG days. Nostalgia, right?
Oh, and a quick shoutout to Embark, they’re the minds behind all this. Seems like they’ve got a good thing going on with Geoff Keighley. Remember how they first dropped the news at The Game Awards in 2021? It used to be a co-op shooter back then. Seems like forever ago, doesn’t it?
Fast forward, and here we are. Now Arc Raiders is more of an extraction shooter. The studio’s first game, The Finals, kind of appeared out of nowhere in December 2023 at that year’s Game Awards. So, yeah, everyone was on their toes for more Arc Raiders news this summer. And they got it. Sort of.
