We’re looking at turn-based battles. It’s all about teaming up with buddies and dealing with whatever the game throws at you—no dungeon master here. Familiar much? If you’ve played Demeo before, nothing shocking.

But hey, they’ve done some tweaks for the whole DnD thing. Gotta match that lore and stuff, right?

Tommy Palm, cool dude from Resolution Games, was all excited in a press release. He was like, “Story is just as important as combat with DnD, so we’re all about that balance now.” They’re adding cut scenes and making dialogue pop–like, player choices are a big deal now. Feels like the next big chapter for Demeo.

Fun fact: Matt Sernett, who’s done epic DnD stuff and worked on Baldur’s Gate, is leading the narrative here. Yeah, Resolution Games isn’t messing around with the storytelling side, seriously.

They’re also making sure DnD Battlemarked rocks in virtual reality. It’ll drop on Steam and PS5, but for those who love VR, it’ll be on Meta and PSVR2 too. Options, man. Options.
