Alright, so here’s the deal with Elden Ring Nightreign. It dropped like a rock into the ocean, missing a bunch of stuff we all thought would be there. I mean, like, it’s a co-op action RPG for three players, and that’s basically the only right way to play it, or so they say.
Anyway, no Duos here, folks! Sure, go ahead and try starting those Expeditions solo if you’re into frustration. FromSoftware is apparently all ears though—well, sort of—and they finally spilled some beans.
So, earlier today, they hopped onto the official Elden Ring Twitter (because where else?) and shouted, “Hey! We hit 3.5 million players!” Which is cool, but did they sell that many copies? Or were those just usernames on the screen? The tweet was kind of vague, left me scratching my head a bit.
And hey, Nightreign’s takin’ off on Steam! It’s their second biggest launch ever! Which makes those 3.5 mil copies sound about right, especially if we toss in some other platforms.
Oh! And the developer shared some upcoming goodies. Drums, please… Duos mode in the works! Praise be, right? Modders have been tinkering to make this happen, beating them to the punch. But when is it coming? Ah, the old “at a later date” line. Classic. At least they finally acknowledged we want Duo, which is something.
The latest update, which literally just dropped, made things a bit nicer for you lone wolves out there. Not that the game loves solos or anything. More tweaks are apparently on the way.
Also, heads up for this month—they’re talking about “enhanced fights against existing Nightlords.” Sounds vague enough? Right in line with FromSoft’s style. Plus, there’s that DLC we’re supposed to get later this year.
If you’re tangled up in the game’s web right now, maybe check out some guides. Tips on Executor and Revenant builds, map puzzles, character skins—you get the idea. Good stuff to prevent those late-night gaming headaches.
