Whoa. So, here’s me rambling about this game called Roboquest on PS5. Let me tell ya, the gaming world is basically drowning in roguelikes and roguelites right now. Seriously, there’s like a gazillion of them. But Roboquest? It ain’t just any game. It’s like, this mix of awesomeness and weird uniqueness — kinda refreshing like a first sip of a cold drink on a hot day. Played it on PC before, and now it’s juiced up with new stuff for the console. Which is sweet, I guess.
And man, the combat? All polished and slick. You’ve got these wild weapons that are so fun — some feel ripped straight outta Ratchet and Clank. There’s this chaotic style with comic book sound effects as you blast baddies. The dual Uzis sure make a racket! Just imagine moving around, shooting things, everything exploding. Crazy good times.
Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not gonna smash your face in with difficulty. Not saying it’s a walk in the park either. You got options to make it harder if you’re into pain or whatever. Plus, co-op mode is there if you need a buddy — teamwork makes the dream work, or so they say. Keep upgrading, fiddling with your base camp, trying different classes till you find your groove. That’s when it gets real juicy.
Random levels? Interesting. Sometimes they just mess you up, but Roboquest keeps it chill. Solid balance. Maps help, and there’s always this “oh, what’s around the corner?” vibe. You explore more, find perks, face bosses head-on. The music kicks in dramatically and, bam! Intensity overload. Boss visuals are neat too — they stand out in a sea of robot clichés.
PlayStation folks, it’s your time to shine with Roboquest. Chock-full of content, thanks to big updates. Endless mode, loads of trophies — it’s a whole thing. Saying it’s packed feels like an understatement. Finally, PlayStation lands it, and for new players, it’s a blast.
At the end of it all, I’m just saying Roboquest is bursting with ideas. This shooter’s got replayability up the wazoo. I’ll probably dive back in. Oh, and there’s a VR2 version on the horizon. Mind-blown emoji stuff right there.
Just a heads-up: a digital copy was provided for this review. Played on version 1.003.000, if anyone’s keeping track.
