PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have something exciting to look forward to this year. So far, four games are set to join the Game Catalog perk as they roll out. One of the highlights is Remedy Entertainment’s new multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which has announced a fresh release window for summer 2025.
FBC: Firebreak unfolds in The Oldest House, the central hub of the Federal Bureau of Control and the iconic setting from the hit game Control. This time, Remedy is steering away from its usual narrative-driven focus to deliver a thrilling gameplay experience. The developers are keen on rolling out a live-service model without the pressure-inducing FOMO elements that often accompany this genre. Notably, all of the game’s playable content will be free, allowing players to enjoy it at their own pace.
The latest trailer gives us a glimpse of the Paper Chase Job, one of the intriguing missions in FBC: Firebreak. In this mission, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with clearing a section of The Oldest House overrun by rogue sticky notes. The sneak peek also highlights the loadouts players can use in their efforts to manage the Hiss threat.
When it arrives, FBC: Firebreak will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and for PC users via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
As mentioned earlier, this game is just one of four titles hitting the Game Catalog at launch. The lineup includes Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can access the first part of Lost Records now, with the second installment expected next month.
On top of these exciting game additions, PS Plus members also get early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. This means juicy discounts on blockbuster titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are up for grabs right now.
