In InZoi, if you want your character, known as a Zoi, to enjoy the finer things in life, they’ll need to earn it through some hard work. There are several career paths available, and the job system here offers a unique twist compared to what players might recognize from games like The Sims.
We’ve spent some time exploring InZoi, figuring out how employment works, and now we’re passing that knowledge on to you to help your Zoi land the perfect job.
Getting your Zoi a job is straightforward. First, click on your Zoi, then press “P” or simply tap the smartphone icon located in the center at the bottom of your screen. From there, navigate through the phone’s interface until you find the purple “career” button. Click it, and you’ll open up a list of available jobs. Pick the one that appeals to you and hit the “apply” button, and just like that, your Zoi is officially employed.
However, bear in mind that not all job options will be accessible right away, some will appear grayed out if your Zoi lacks the necessary qualifications.
One downside is that the job interface in InZoi isn’t the most user-friendly. You won’t find a list of qualifications needed for higher-ranking positions, which is a bit frustrating. It’s likely you just have to reapply if you started but then left that career path.
The only requirement displayed is age. Most roles are available as long as your Zoi isn’t a teenager, child, or senior. There are exceptions like the entertainment career, which requires the Zoi to be a young adult. Nevertheless, you can dive into any job that piques your interest without worrying about too many initial restrictions.
When the workday rolls around, your Zoi will exit the lot and head to their job. Depending on what career you’ve picked, you might simply wait for their return or, in some instances, join them at their workplace to complete tasks. Jobs with gray briefcase icons mean your Zoi goes off alone, while others involve more hands-on participation.
Every career comes with its own demands and schedules. Typically, jobs span just three days a week, although some stretch to four or five days. Considering your Zoi’s paycheck comes only on working days, it’s worth picking a job with more days if you need more funds quickly, unless you’re tempted to use a cheat code for money.
For a quick look at your Zoi’s work schedule, you can always check their smartphone.
InZoi also offers distinct career paths depending on the city. While some tracks like military or criminal are common across cities, others are unique. For instance, in Dowon, inspired by Seoul, you’ll find an esports or pop idol career track, while in Bliss Bay, inspired by Los Angeles, you can venture into football or amusement park jobs.
Interestingly, unlike in The Sims, there aren’t any specific skills required for career advancement. Your Zoi simply needs to show up at work, and their performance will naturally improve over time, eventually leading to a promotion.
