Hey, so, buckle up because I’m about to babble a bit about this wild new event in Honkai: Star Rail. Today marks a kind of milestone—I guess that’s the right word?—with this crazy-long-awaited collaboration with Fate/stay night. Yup, if you’ve had your ear to the ground, you probably knew it was coming, but still, it’s finally here!
Now, rewind about a week, and the game got a shiny new update, patch 3.4. Not just Fate stuff, you know, but a whole package deal with fresh goodies. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.
Oh, right! There was a developer livestream back in June that spilled the beans about all this. And the hype? Absolutely real. Everyone’s eyes were on these two superstar guest characters joining the fray. The collab is sticking around, too. No exit date pinned down yet, but whispers in the wind claim it’s here through November. Fingers crossed, right?
Saber fans, listen up! She’s dropping in as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. And Archer? Well, he’s also a 5-Star, but Quantum/Hunt instead. Any savvy player knows Archer’s free just for logging in during the event. Saber’s gonna cost you some pulls. Oh, and Archer comes all geared up to level 60. Handy, huh?
Launch throws four new banners into the mix. Saber, Archer, and their shiny light cones are up for grabs. Curveball, though—no boosted rates for 4-star stuff! But, hey, you’ll snag Saber’s light cone at 200 warps. Odd little twist there.
Side note—does it bug anyone else that the Fate collab folks didn’t get English voiceovers? I mean, deliberate move? Probably. But seeing it’s tied up with MiHoYo’s beef with SAG-AFTRA and their US-based voice actors… kinda makes you think.
Anyway, there’s more to sink your teeth into like this Trailblaze Continuance called Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. Plus, until August 11, dive into this combat challenge event. Exclusive prizes up for grabs until then. Miss it, though, and parts of it end up in the Conventional Memoir. Just not all the goodies. Yeah, bummer.
Earlier, Honkai amped up its character ensemble with Phainon becoming playable. He’s a 5-Star Physical/Destruction guy. Nice new toy to play with!
Phase one of reruns hit alongside patch 3.4 on July 2. Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle made comebacks. July 23, phase two pops up, featuring Firefly back on the scene (new threads and all), along with Jingliu and Blade.
Oh, and patch 3.4, besides everything else, brought tweaks to Kafka, Silver Wolf, Blade. Just boosts, you know? Jingliu’s rerun timed perfectly with her kit’s boost. Sometimes updates land just right.
Wow, that was a ride. Honestly, no clue how I zeroed back in on that last bit. Wild, huh?
