Wondering what’s fresh in the Nintendo Switch eShop this week? As we count down to the much-anticipated release of Switch 2—only about seven weeks away—the current platform continues to welcome a deluge of new titles. This week’s standout is the action-adventure gem, Star Overdrive.
In Star Overdrive, players get to ride a hoverboard across an alien world, decipher puzzling challenges, and battle against a variety of foes. Developed by Caracal Games, a team of 12 dedicated indie creators, this isn’t their first dive into the eShop. However, Star Overdrive boasts the distinction of being featured in a Nintendo Direct for the first time, and Plug In Digital—the publisher known for last year’s intriguing Mindcop—is bringing this adventure to life. Melding fast-paced action with platforming elements and a third-person perspective, Star Overdrive is a title you won’t want to overlook.
New to Nintendo Music, too, is the addition of Luigi’s Mansion, expanding the musical offerings. A wide array of games is also on sale, including Mario + Rabbids and South Park, among others.
