Marvel Rivals is getting a shake-up with some changes coming that, well, not everyone’s thrilled about. The game’s next phase, Season 3.5 — oh, and a quick shout out here to Jean Grey, aka Phoenix, for swooping into action — is introducing new matchmaking rules. Some players are, let’s say, less than pleased. They’re kinda not loving the idea of fewer squadmates in higher ranks.
Weirdly enough, I can’t stop thinking about those times in childhood when you’d organize a game and suddenly the rules changed, like without warning. It’s a bit like that. So, what’s the deal here? Only players in the lower ranks, Bronze through Gold, will be able to go full five-man squad. For Platinum and above? Yeah, you can only group up with three or fewer. And those almighty players at the top? Just two, sorry.
I wonder if this change was supposed to level the playing field or — maybe it’s just a big ol’ headache for everyone who loves their full-team antics. Anyway, the chatter online is, unsurprisingly, all over the place. One user, smaughh, just couldn’t wrap their head around this “odd” update. And with over 900 comments, there’s a whole community either fuming or… well, mostly fuming.
The excitement rolls on with Season 3.5 dropping August 8. Oh, nearly forgot—Blade is joining the fun too! Seriously, who doesn’t like a new character? Especially when it’s Blade teaming up with the likes of Moon Knight. That sounds cool, right?
And for those folks who dig a good outfit? Keep an eye out for The Thing’s new symbiote look. It’s like a superhero fashion show sometimes.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, never mind. Here’s hoping that these changes eventually win folks over. Or not? Guess we’ll see.
