2025’s been a wild ride for Minecraft, I guess. Recently, someone got all creative with a roller coaster build, thanks to some new leashing mechanics. These are part of the latest content drop, “Chase the Skies.” Yeah, they just went ahead and added a happy ghast mob and a player locator. Handy stuff for multiplayer, I suppose. But back to the roller coaster — it’s weirdly awesome.
Anyway, Minecraft’s changing it up. No more massive updates once a year. They’re dropping smaller bites throughout the year now. Focus this time is on those happy ghasts. You can befriend them, raise them, fly around — real cute stuff. Leads got revamped too. You can tether mobs together or even leash them to boats and minecarts now. Why? No idea, but people seem to love it.
So, there’s this player, bjtgamingHELP, who dreamed up what they called “the world’s first” functioning suspended roller coaster in Minecraft. Sounds ambitious. It’s a boat hanging from a moving minecart with leads. Okay, probably not a world first, but still pretty cool. You get to float around at the heights of your pixelated universe and, who knows, maybe take a buddy along?
Speaking of happy ghasts, they’re small, but these additions shake things up. It’s crazy — tiny changes that fuel wild creativity. Like, someone made a weaponized happy ghast. Why? Search me. But I love it. Shows what you can do with a little imagination in Minecraft.
Oh, and if “Chase the Skies” wasn’t enough, they rolled out something fancy for the Bedrock Edition called Vibrant Visuals. Graphics look stunning now. Think prettier lighting, poppy colors, epic water. Only on certain platforms for Bedrock right now, but it’ll hit Java sometime. Why wasn’t it there from the start? Beats me. Wasn’t paying attention.
