Man, you ever get the feeling something’s not gonna happen, no matter how much you want it? That’s kinda where Nate Fox is at, you know, the Sucker Punch co-creative guy. He’s all gung-ho about getting the Infamous trilogy back on our shiny new consoles. I mean, who wouldn’t be? But then, bam, reality hits. The crew’s locked into Ghost of Yotei right now. Yeah, they’re knee-deep in whatever mystical adventures they’ve cooked up there.
So, I stumbled on this chat he had with Game Informer. Fox sounds like a guy dreaming about more Infamous. Been his baby since way back in 2009 on the PS3. Dude really wants to dust it off and bring it back. But he says, “We’re all about the one-game-at-a-time life.” Sounds kinda zen, doesn’t it? Or maybe just practical. Who knows?
But here’s the kicker: do we really think Sony’s gonna let them veer off the narrative-driven path they’re walking? Seems like everything’s about the storytelling now. Remember Astro Bot? Did great… got some shiny awards. But where’s the wild, unpredictable stuff? Feels a bit like that ship might’ve sailed.
I don’t know, man. What about you guys? Want the Infamous trilogy to make a comeback? Drop your thoughts, or just ponder it like a late-night snack decision.
