Well, here we go diving into this new game, EXILEDGE. Sony tossed it into the world through their China Hero Project, and I’m not gonna lie, it caught my attention at ChinaJoy 2025. Watching the trailer, I had mixed feelings—y’know, like when you’re unsure if the leftovers in the fridge are still good. It’s kind of like Returnal, if Returnal had a slightly awkward day. Maybe it’s the rigid movements or just me overanalyzing. Anyway, moving on.
So, what did I see? A lot, really. There’s Alter speeding around on a motorcycle—random side note: those tires sounded like dry leaves crunching underfoot, but whatever—and then suddenly, bam! Combat scenes where it seems like dodging is key. Stiffness is part of the charm, I guess? Or maybe it’s just how it is.
Enigmatrix Games played a role here, tagging along with Sony’s China Hero Project. You’re in control of this Alter character, facing off against weirdly named foes, “Otherkin.” Who comes up with these names, right? As Alter, you’re delving into these Talos towers, trying to unravel some big mystery.
Let me try to piece the story together (bear with me): It’s set way in the future—no DeLoreans here, sadly—after everything went kaboom. The world’s now dominated by these massive towers called Talos, popping up out of the sea like they own the place. Humanity’s new digs, apparently. There’s this girl, Zora, leading the charge to figure out what really went down on “that day.” Just vague enough to keep you curious, huh?
Anyway, does this whole EXILEDGE thing tickle your fancy? Maybe you think it’s the next big thing, or just another game lost in the shuffle. I wanna hear what you’re thinking, so drop some thoughts!
That’s kinda it. Or not. Who knows, my mind’s a blur after all that.
