Okay, so here’s the thing. We’ve been calling it Battlefield 6 forever, right? Well, it actually is Battlefield 6. EA finally told us, so we can stop guessing. But yeah, if you were waiting for something big and mind-blowing, you might be squinting your eyes going, “Really, that’s it?”
Anyway, they tossed in a couple of juicy bits for us to chew on. I mean, they posted this short, kinda artsy animation on Battlefield’s social media — all official-like — and yup, July 24 is the magic date for the trailer drop. Mark your calendars, people!
Oh, and if you’re planning your day around this (no judgment), the YouTube trailer will go live at 8am PT, 11am ET, 4pm UK. It’s got a thumbnail that maybe shows the game’s cover art? Looks like the Brooklyn Bridge in chaos. New York’s definitely not having a good day in this one.
Here’s a quirky thing — the background music gives off these Battlefield 3 and 4 vibes. Just like, I dunno, a throwback dance party but with more explosions. Maybe that’s on purpose? Probably.
As for when we can actually play it, they didn’t say. I know, annoying. But word on the street is there’s a beta coming up early August. Fingers crossed they drop that info tomorrow too.
Okay, I think I covered it all. Or not. Let’s see.
