Oh man, where do I even start with this? So, Nintendo drops a bomb on us Tuesday — and I mean a good bomb, one of those fun kinds that makes everyone go “Whoa, didn’t see that coming!” So, what’s the deal? They’re hooking us up with Drag x Drive, some kinda wheelchair basketball thing showing off the Switch 2’s mouse controls. Honestly, didn’t even know I needed this in my life. Same day as Madden NFL 26. Coincidence? I dunno.
Now, for August, I guess this means a bit about what Switch 2’s dance card looks like for 2025. Feels like they’re setting some kinda rhythm here, but don’t quote me on that just yet.
Anyway, Drag x Drive sounds kinda fun, and it’s not gonna break the bank either — $19.99, seriously! I have no idea how they price these things, but there you go. It’s like Nintendo’s trying to keep us entertained during those lazy summer days. Oh, and get this, they’re also throwing Kirby and the Forgotten Land at us — with, wait for it, all-new Mouthful Modes. Random fun fact: I used to call Kirby a pink marshmallow. Who didn’t?
Before we hit August, July’s not looking too shabby with Donkey Kong Bananza swinging in. And a new Mario Party thing — yay parties! Got a feeling this might be a pattern or whatever? Old vs. new mashups? I dunno.
September though? It’s kinda meh, to be honest. Like, Nintendo’s calendar got a hole in it or something. Thank goodness other folks are stepping in with stuff like Borderlands 4. Phew.
Then, October sneaks in with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Cross-gen stuff, but hey, who’s complaining? Not me.
For 2025, brace yourselves, ’cause Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are waiting in the wings. No dates yet, so your guess is as good as mine. I can kinda imagine Metroid popping up in September — could be a good guess, but who knows?
And fall might get a bit busier with things like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and Hades 2. But wait, does Call of Duty fit in there? Let’s see how that plays out.
Zelda fans, don’t worry. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is eyeing a winter debut — but is that 2026? Yeah, let’s just say soon-ish.
Nintendo then might dust off some GameCube gems, like Super Mario Sunshine, or maybe Pokémon XD. They’ve teased us before, so it’s honestly anyone’s game.
Anyway, 2025 looks like it’s packed, so buckle up for the ride. And with Nintendo? Surprises are everywhere. Here’s to the unexpected!
