Sure thing, let’s see where this goes. So, Fortnite — yeah, that game with the random dances everyone’s kids seem to be doing at weddings — has this crazy amount of mash-ups with brands and pop culture bits. Started back in 2017, right? I remember when it first dropped, everyone went nuts over it. And now here we are, they’re pulling in stuff from Marvel to anime and everything in between. Oh, and recently, they threw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into the mix. Like, who saw that coming?
Anyway, recently Fortnite had a crossover with TMNT where villains like Bebop and Rocksteady popped up. The skins? Only there for a bit, blink and you’d miss it, but that’s Fortnite for ya — always keeping things fresh. Gotta hand it to Epic Games, they seem to really nail those TMNT designs. Makes you think, like, if there’s another big TMNT game in the works, maybe they should take some style cues from Fortnite. Those designs might just be onto something.
Oh, speaking of randomness, I saw this image of Fortnite characters once, and it was like something out of a dream — a mashup that shouldn’t work but somehow does. I digress.
There’s this whole thing about Fortnite making the classic Turtles fit right in while keeping their original comic vibes. It’s super interesting because you look at other games like Call of Duty at times, and their TMNT stuff just doesn’t hit the same. Call of Duty makes them look all intense and way too real, I swear sometimes it feels like they’re coming at you out of the screen.
By the way, there are two TMNT games dropping this month. May soon for “Splintered Fate” on PS5 and later in May, “Tactical Takedown” — the classics keeping our wallets empty, right? Plus, in June, Xbox gets in on the fun, which is cool.
Also, they’ve got this new TMNT game, “The Last Ronin,” in the works — no release date yet, typical, keeps us waiting. It’s about Michelangelo being the last Turtle standing, and the teaser gives off this really stylish, comic book feel. Fans are buzzing about it, and hey, it’s got a movie adaptation coming too.
Fortnite’s TMNT stuff seems to do well, so you’d bet they’ll keep at it. They’ve added April O’Neil too (always liked her), and all these skins make the game pop even more. You know, good character design can suck players in as much as gameplay. If they balance it right, TMNT can really shine in the gaming world.
The Last Ronin could be the next big thing, and maybe — just maybe — Fortnite will draw some ideas from it for new skins. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how things unfold. But knowing Fortnite, they’ll probably pull off something surprising.
Anyway, Fortnite keeps rolling with these collabs, and you can’t help but wonder if they’ve got a magic formula or if they just throw everything at a wall to see what sticks. Either way, here we are, tuning in to see what crazy mix they come up with next.
