Alright, here goes nothing:
So, today was the big reveal for Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4 livestream. Yep, right on cue. These things are like clockwork, aren’t they? Anyway, the buzz was all about the new characters. Honestly, who doesn’t get hyped about new characters, right? The livestream definitely didn’t disappoint in that department.
The headliner? This insanely awesome Fate/stay night collab event. They announced this ages ago — like last August, when Fate/stay night finally got that English remaster everyone’s been yammering about. Seriously, why did it take them so long? Whatever, the wait’s almost over. Just imagine these two worlds colliding. Crazy, huh?
Okay, so new characters for 3.4. We’ve got Saber and Archer from Fate hopping in. Saber is a 5-Star Wind/Destruction gal with her banner in the gacha. And Archer? A 5-Star Quantum/Hunt dude you can snag for free if you log in. Seems like they’ll be around longer than usual, running till the end of 3.6, which should hit us in November. Time flies—where did my summer go?
Also, Phainon—remember him? The NPC who popped up at Amphoreus back in Version 3.0? Yep, now he’s joining the playable crew, wielding a Physical/Destruction kit. Finally getting his moment, while Chrysos Heirs got theirs way back. About time, right?
Plus, brace yourself—six rerun banners! Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle in Phase 1, with Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade in Phase 2. No new faces in the second half, but with that stacked line-up? Hardly room to whine.
And Stellaron Hunters aren’t left out in the cold. Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade get some love with battle and Eidolon tweaks. Firefly’s sporting a new outfit too. Jingliu’s getting a kit upgrade. Is she joining Elio’s gray-area crew? Who knows, but it’d be kinda cool, right?
Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 is hitting our screens on July 2nd, with a shift to phase two on July 23rd. Catch the livestream if you missed it. Just, you know, enable those cookies first.
Backtracking a bit—May’s 3.3 update gave us Hyacine and brought back The Herta. Cipher came into play with the second phase, while some fan favorites returned.
Oh, and the English voice actor switch for Stelle and Caelus? Yep, all tied to the SAG-AFTRA solidarity action. They finally reached a tentative deal with the studios. Dan Heng and Himeko’s actors are still in limbo, though. What’s next? Guess we’ll have to hang tight.
